VIDEO: Gail Goodrich On The Lakers Future, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash

In this current season, the Lakers have been plagued with unfortunate injuries that deteriorated hopes and dreams for fans and players. In the midst of a horrific season, a special visitor came by the Lakers practice facility to send a message to the Laker fans and the team. That visitor was NBA Hall of Fame guard, Gail Goodrich.

Goodrich spoke to the team about a variety of topics, including life beyond basketball. He addressed the media about the importance of “patience” for Laker fans in the next couple of years. To clarify, the Laker alumni talks about the work the front office has on their plate. Goodrich even thinks the Lakers are in a good salary-cap position to sign big free agents down the road.

Goodrich also explains that playing smart with a little more under control is a key factor for Bryant and Nash’s final years of their career.

And lastly, he compares the similarity of his own Achilles tendon injury to Bryant’s. Gail thinks Kobe will come back strong and compete better than most players in the league today.
