Serena Winters: How does it feel to be in this Lakers building looking at all the banners and the championship trophies up there for the first time?

Shawne Williams: It’s surreal, I’ve been here 3-4 weeks now, when I first got here, it was kind of mesmerizing because there’s a lot of history in this building and lots of pressure just wearing this Los Angeles Laker jersey, but I embrace it and I just want to get Laker basketball back to where its supposed to be.

Serena Winters: How does the pressure with the Laker jersey differ from the other teams you played with?

Shawne Williams: I feel a little different inside, New York was kind of like the same, but it seems like here it’s a little more pressure, just a little more serious a little bit. It’s just a little different. It’s just a feeling I have around here.

Serena Winters: Well its good you feel that way because that’s how Laker fans feel too. Now you played in New York under Mike D’antoni already. Tell us how you played in that system and how it’s different or the same, and if you are looking forward to being back under it?

Shawne Williams: I believe were playing in the same system in New York, just some more different wrinkles just with Pau and Steve. I love the system, I’m a firm supporter of that system and I feel like with the group of guys we have and with the coaches we have and Mike, I feel like the skies the limit with this team and all we have to do is trust each other and play.

Serena Winters: What do you think you can bring to this Laker team that isn’t there already?

Shawne Williams: Your right, there’s a lot of talented people that are here, so I’m just trying to bring a lot of positiveness and lot of leadership on the defensive end, and good outside shooting. A little of both – inside rebounding, just everything, I just want to win and contribute to winning.

Serena Winters: One thing that you want Lakers fan to know about you?

Shawne Williams:  One thing I want Laker fans to know about me is every night they don’t have to worry about if Shawne is going to play hard. I’m going to give it 110 percent every night.
