It was another rough night for the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. Despite an 11-point lead at halftime and career-high performances from both Wayne Ellington and Jordan Clarkson, the Lakers lost to the Washington Wizards 98-92, extending their losing streak to nine games.

Jeremy Lin had seven points, eight assists and four turnovers in his 23 minutes and after the game, said he’s definitely feeling the weight of the losses.

I think we all worked hard this summer and not seeing the results you want to see, is disappointing.”

Lin said he was quite happy to see Lakers rookie Clarkson grab an 18-point career high, especially after seeing him come in early and work hard in practice. Lin also said one of the things the Lakers need to improve is setting their own pace, rather than reacting to the other team.

The Lakers will prepare for Pau Gasol and the Chicago Bulls at practice on Wednesday, before they come into Staples Center Thursday night.
