During the NBA Summer League last month, Jordan Clarkson was arguably the best player on the floor for the Los Angeles Lakers. Not only did Clarkson continue to show his dedication to improving his craft, but he also came away with one of the best highlights in Las Vegas with a posterizing dunk on Jack Cooley of the Utah Jazz.

— What will Jordan Clarkson make this season? Find out here! —

Clarkson made quite the impression during his rookie year earning NBA All-Rookie First Team honors along with Andrew Wiggins, Nerlens Noel, Elfrid Payton and Nikola Mirotic. Clarkson wasn’t satisfied with the recognition as one of the top-five rookies in his first season with the Lakers and intends to continue proving his worth in his sophomore campaign in Los Angeles.

Although Clarkson was unable to lead the Lakers to more than one win during Summer League, the second-year guard has shown enough to the team’s coaching staff to potentially earn a starting role. Clarkson’s emergence as a potential star in the making has convinced head coach Byron Scott to keep him as starter. Kobe Bryant will move to small forward while rookie D’Angelo Russell will likely be the team’s starting point guard.
