VIDEO: Jordan Hill Sets Career-High For Points Against Pelicans

With his layup in the third quarter, Los Angeles Lakers forward Jordan Hill set a new career-high for points. Hill earned his first start of the season against the Pelicans and made the most of his new role. Along with the 19 points, Hill has eight rebounds and an assist. He is 7-8 from the free throw line on the night.

His previous record for points in a game was 17 last season against the Utah Jazz to go along with nine rebounds. The energetic forward was moved into the starting lineup alongside center Pau Gasol as Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni tries to find lineups and rotations that’ll get the team going.

On the season, Hill is averaging 6.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game in 16.1 minutes. The 26-year-old may continue to reach new heights if he stays in the starting lineup, as he adds the energy and grit alongside the finesse game of Gasol.
