The Los Angeles Lakers started off their preseason with a win against the Denver Nuggets in San Diego on Monday. All eyes focused on Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant in their first game together since March 30, 2013. After a full week of conditioning and training camp, Bryant called tonight’s preseason game a “piece of cake” compared to the scrimmages in practice.
At 27 minutes each, both Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson were given time to showcase their talent in their debuts. Randle got the crowd going with his first and last points consisting of two-handed dunks. Though head coach Byron Scott focused on many of the areas that both Randle and Clarkson need to improve, Bryant gave some pretty strong comments on the rookies.
Bryant sounds like he expects a lot out of the rookies this season. Check it all out in our video above.
