The Los Angeles Lakers honored Scott with a moment of silence before their game against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night. After the game, Bryant had this to say about what an incredible individual the sports world has lost.

Sports world lost a legend,” Bryant said after the game. “I certainly grew up wanting to be on SportsCenter just to have him comment on a highlight or two of mine. He’s really changed the vernacular of sports. He battled hard. Can’t say enough about the inspiration he’s been.”

Bryant also reminisces about his favorite Scott phrase and discusses how Scott brought a “kind of hip-hop culture into the sports game.” Scott is survived by his two daughters, Taelor and Sydni.
