Last season, Kobe delivered two of the best dunks of the year against the Brooklyn Nets and Atlanta Hawks even though he was far from the athlete he used to be in his early years. After suffering the torn Achilles, many wondered if he would even be able to return to that level of athleticism.

Videos surfaced of Bryant dunking in practice and tonight, in his second game back, Bryant delivered his first dunk of the year against the Phoenix Suns:

This was a vintage Kobe move as he faced up against P.J. Tucker and drove right by him for a two foot slam. It’s good to see Kobe still possessing some athleticism, but it is clear that it is going to be a little while before he is rising up and dunking over defenders again.

This was also a two foot dunk so at some point, seeing Kobe rise up off of one foot will relieve everyone of that torn Achilles.
