After Dwight Howard grabbed a rebound, Kobe Bryant swiped at the ball. Howard swung his elbows hitting Kobe in the face and the two had to be separated:

Kobe did not mince words with his former teammate, calling Howard ‘soft’ after the confrontation:

Tensions were extremely high between the two and the altercation got the crowd extremely excited. The two had been the subject of many articles recently with people speculating that Kobe Bryant was the reason big-name free agents didn’t want to play in Los Angeles.

Howard recently said that being afraid of Kobe had nothing to do with him leaving. At any rate, this incident showed that Kobe will not be backing down from anyone this season.
