Kobe BryantKobe Bryant may have taken on a facilitator role this season, but don’t expect him to carry that same mentality through the All-Star game. As a matter of fact, according to Kobe Bryant himself, the scoring mamba will be back in action on Sunday. When LakersNation.com Reporter Serena Winters, asked Kobe if he might follow his career leading scoring year with a career assisting performance in the All-Star game on Sunday, he made his answer pretty clear.

“Hell no. I don’t need to facilitate on that team.”

Kobe Bryant also touched on the excitement of having four players in Los Angeles starting on the All-Star team

“It’s pretty crazy. It’s got to be exciting for LA to have that kind of talent in one city.”

Sunday will mark Kobe Bryant’s 15th consecutive all-star start, an NBA record. As exciting as Sunday will be for him, Kobe admits his first year will always be the most memorable one.

“The first all-star game to me has been the most memorable one. Me and KG being the young kids on the block, playing with Jordan, Drexler, Barkley, Stockton and all those guys.”

Check out what Kobe had to say on your own in our Lakers practice video below.
