VIDEO: Nick Young Was Worried ‘The Purge’ Was Real

Last week, Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers seemed convinced that The Purge could become reality in the near future. Young took to Twitter to express his concern:

TMZ caught up with Young over the holiday weekend to ask him whether he truly thought the purge is real:

Young said the following to TMZ about his “purge” comments:

TMZ: Did you really think the purge was going to happen?

Young: I swear I did, man. I thought I was going to have to shoot a couple people.

TMZ: If the purge did happen, what would you do?

Young: Man, you know. I wouldn’t do nothing. I got a little dollars. I could hide away.

Young was a busy man over the Labor Day weekend making the rounds with his rapper girlfriend, Iggy Azalea. Young and Azalea were at the Lakers practice facility on Saturday night with the up-and-coming rapper showing off her trick shot skills.

With the 2014-15 NBA season right around the corner, the veteran guard/forward will likely continue to be in front the cameras and putting in work at the practice facility. After signing a four-year deal with the team, Young will have to prove his worth with the Lakers trying to bounce back after one of the worst seasons in franchise history.
