For five and a half seasons, Pau Gasol was a force in Los Angeles, helping the Lakers win back-to-back NBA championships, earning three All-Star nods and serving as an essential piece in helping the Lakers back to the top.

Though Gasol understandably opted for Chicago in the summer of 2014, after a couple years of dealing with serious trade rumors in Los Angeles, his contributions to the Lakers and the city of Los Angeles will never be forgotten.

With that, Lakers Nation takes a look back at Gasol’s top five moments in the purple and gold.

Remember Gasol’s first game in Los Angeles, a foreshadowing double-double performance resulting in Kobe Bryant to crash his post-game interview? That moment where Lakers fans left that game feeling a new era of Lakers basketball was underway?

What about Gasol’s game-winning tip-in against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the 2010 playoffs? And of course, his Game 7 vs. Boston in the 2010 NBA Finals.

Sit back and reminisce about the Lakers most recent championship days with Pau Gasol. And, feel free to tell us your favorite memory of Pau Gasol in the comment section below.
