The season was on the line… and the Lakers delivered from the line.

The Lakers handed the thunder their first loss of the playoffs 99-96, despite their final 8 points coming from the charity stripe.

Kobe Bryant lead all scorers with 36… 18 of those points coming from free throws. Not the best night for Andrew Bynum… 15 points on 2-of-13 shooting. Steve Blake was a perfect 2-for-2 from three-point land.

The Lakers made 41 of 42 free throws and snapped Oklahoma City’s 6-game winning streak. Kevin Durant lead the thunder with 31

Now one of the best moments of this game came in the 2nd quarter. Things get heated as Metta and Westbrook fight for the loose ball….But check out Joey Crawford throw an elbow at Westbrook’s neck! Hopefully the league doesn’t suspend Crawford for 7 games.

That means we’ve seen three elbows thrown between the Lakers and the Thunder. First from Metta World Peace, then from James Harden, and now Joey Crawford. Game 4 is tonight at 7:30pm.

And in other news around the NBA the Sixers erased an 18-point deficit to defeat the Boston Celtics 92-83, tying the series at 2 games apiece. Paul Pierce lead all scorers with 24.
