The Los Angeles Lakers got a good sense of the level of toughness this team may have during the 2015-16 NBA season on Tuesday night. Things got a little too physical with the Utah Jazz during the team’s second preseason game on Honolulu, Hawaii.
With 7:14 left to play in the third quarter, the matchup Jazz and Lakers was taken to another level. Forward Trevor Booker got a little tired of Julius Randle’s physical style of defense and forcefully pushed the Kentucky product. Lakers newcomer Roy Hibbert immediately went over to confront Booker and was hit with a cheap shot for defending his teammate.
Booker was ejected while Hibbert received a technical foul after the referees took another look at the altercation. A suspension could be coming for Booker once the league gets a chance to assess the damage.
