The Los Angeles Lakers grabbed their third consecutive victory, with a win against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night, after losing in overtime in Milwaukee during the Grammy trip. The Lakers outscored the Bucks 36 to 21 in the fourth quarter, largely due to a 14-point fourth quarter performance from Lakers guard Wayne Ellington.

Despite going 0-6 through three quarters, Ellington came through in crunch time, largely crediting his teammates for getting him going in the fourth quarter and the selflessness everyone showed out on the court.

I think we’ve really been rallying together, coming together as a group, not worrying about ourselves individually. We’re going to dig deep, we dug a little deeper, I think that’s why we came back the last two games.”

Lakers head coach Byron Scott has been around Ellington for quite some time, coaching him while he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Scott’s always said Ellington’s been a player that’s good at everything, rather than great at any one particular thing.

I don’t want to be just labeled as a guy that can only do one thing, Ellington said after the game. “I want to be a guy that can do a lot of things, I can defend if you need me to, I can come in there and crash (the boards) and get some tough rebounds if you need me to, make a play if you need me to.”

The Lakers may need all of that from Ellington on Sunday afternoon, as they face a tough matchup. Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder face the Lakers at Staples Center at 3:30 PM.
