From the moment Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James entered the NBA back in 2003, he has been one of the most closely watched, monitored and scrutinized athletes this world has ever seen. There are always people on TV and other forms of media commenting on every move he makes and he surely hears plenty from others around him in real life as well.
James is also one of the premier athletes signed with Nike and the the company played off of the idea of everyone trying to give him advice in their latest commercial for their new Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds. LeBron starred in the commercial, going on to a golf course where every person who sees him is trying to give him advice on how to improve, but the Lakers star just puts in his earbuds to drown out the noise and play to his heart’s content, via Nike on X:

It is a pretty clever commercial as LeBron recently picked up golfing as a hobby and has spoken about how difficult it has been for him to try and improve. He likely has experienced random people trying to give him advice on the golf course, but he would just rather be in his own world which is something many people can relate to.
Finding the right earbuds to work out or do anything active is something that many people have to go through and Nike is showing off their new collab with Beats, which will give you the excellent sound that Beats is known for, combined with the stability that Nike brings.
It is a shame that Austin Reaves isn’t a Nike athlete as this commercial would have been perfect for a cameo from James’ Lakers teammate and fellow golf enthusiast. And hopefully, LeBron has improved enough as a golfer that he isn’t putting anyone in danger as he did in the commercial.
Rich Paul dismissed LeBron James narrative
There’s been a narrative going around that the Lakers are better without James, and up until recently, there were some stats to support it. Someone who isn’t buying it though is LeBron’s agent as Rich Paul of Klutch Sports stated that he doesn’t think any team has ever been better without James.
