The Lakers had few wing options all year as a result of injury which meant Johnson saw plenty of action. Johnson looked back on his time with the Lakers during his exit interview Thursday and said the Lakers will focus on the draft first according to Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News:

During the off-season, Johnson worked out with Kobe Bryant and there were expectations he would improve. While the small forward had his moments this season, he struggled with consistency. Before suffering a sprained ankle against the Mavericks, Johnson was on pace for his best game of the season with 16 points in the first half.

Heading into the off-season, the Lakers will look to upgrade their roster, especially at the small forward position. There will be numerous options in the 2015 NBA Draft which features Duke’s Justise Winslow and a strong crop in free agency.

In 76 games, Johnson averaged 9.9 points and 4.2 rebounds in 29.5 minutes.
