Grading the Deadline Deals

Minnesota Timberwolves

Additions –

From New York: Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry, and cash.

From Denver: 2015 second-round pick.

Losses – Corey Brewer and Kosta Koufos

Grade – A-

For once, the Timberwolves did something smart in the trade market. Taking in Eddy Curry’s expiring contract will clear up plenty of cap space for the team to re-sign players and have fun in the free agent market during the offseason. Anthony Randolph is a lengthy forward, whose potential talent and athleticism is off the charts. He’ll have a bright future once he gets the chance to play on the court – especially working with rising star Michael Beasley.
