Lakers Nation Week In Review: Oct. 6 – Oct. 13

The Los Angeles Lakers just began their 2012 pre-season and the seeing the world’s best players on the court once again was truly amazing. The Lakers revamped their roster this off-season and exhibition games allow those new additions to get accustomed to their teammates.

Los Angeles played their opening game against the Golden State Warriors and it was the first time fans got to see Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash on the court at the same time. Although the Lakers ended up losing the game, everyone got a glimpse of what Nash and Kobe could do together.

Along with the pre-season games, it was another busy week for the Lakers and here is the week in review.

Pre-Season Post Game Reports:

In the opening game of the pre-season, the Lakers fell to the Golden State Warriors 110-83. Kobe and Nash did play in the game, but there were looking to please the fans more than winning the game. The coaching staff used the match to evaluate their young talent, but on this night, the new players couldn’t get past the Warriors.

The Lakers played their second pre-season game against the Portland Trail Blazers, but this time they were without Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard. Nash and Metta World Peace played extremely well together and the fans got a chance to see how those two players can connect on the court. Still, the Blazers came out on top and took the game 93-75.
