10. Dallas Mavericks (8): The Dallas Mavericks are 14-11 on the year and Dirk is having his worst statistical season since his rookie year. New additions to the team, Vince Carter and Lamar Odom, have picked up the slack.

9. San Antonio (10): The Spurs improved to 16-9 winning their last four games. Guard Tony Parker put up 42 points against Oklahoma City and became the all-time franchise assists leader for the San Antonio Spurs.

8. Atlanta Hawks (5): The Atlanta Hawks have lost their last two games but have managed to remain competitive with the absence of Al Horford in the lineup.

7. Denver Nuggets (4): The Denver Nuggets have shown they are a deep team with six players averaging double figures. They have an overall record of 15-9 and were on a six game winning streak this week before losing a tough one to the Clippers.

6. Los Angeles Clippers (13): The Clippers have won seven of their last 10 games and have an overall record of 14- 7. Signing Kenyon Martin will help with depth on the bench.
